Cast-in-place cellular concrete is an ideal solution for constructing structures with high thermal insulation.
Increasingly used as a building material, cellular concrete allows for the creation of efficient and sustainable buildings by integrating insulating materials directly into the formwork for cost-effective construction.
The cast-in-place system involves the use of vertical formwork, adaptable to any type of construction, including internal partitions. Using insulating panels such as wood fiber, extruded polystyrene, or polyurethane in the formwork proves to be particularly advantageous.
These panels, left in place, contribute to the creation of buildings with excellent thermal insulation.
The insulating panels are positioned and cut according to the project’s requirements and secured with standard formwork hardware.
Inside the formwork, a double welded wire mesh is installed to support the electrical and plumbing systems, which must be pre-arranged before casting.
Vertical structures in cellular concrete can be constructed using either the IBS-08 cellular concrete plant or Fluocem, ensuring versatility and high performance in any type of construction. By using foaming agents like Isocem S/B or Isocem S/X, the insulating properties and overall quality of the structures can be further enhanced.
