Cellular concrete is an excellent solution even for operations of on-site casting, indeed it is used more and more as a valid construction material.
This technology allows for building vertical structures with high thermal insulation, using insulating materials inserted into the formwork for low cost construction work. For carrying out on site casting other than using the ISOCEM S/B foaming agent for cellular concrete, it is possible to use ISOCEM S/X.
CAST IN SITU: VERTICAL STRUCTURES IN CELLULAR CONCRETE
This construction system consists in preparing vertical formwork of any type, for all or part of the construction to be erected, including internal partitions.
Of particular advantage on the other hand is the use of insulating panels for moulds, chosen from: Wood fibre or of extruded polystyrene, or polyurethane, and leaving the insulating panels in place for constructing buildings with extremely high thermal insulation values.
The panels should be positioned according to need and size – they may be cut to measure – and secured with normal fittings for wooden formwork.
In the mould thus produced, the double welded mesh which sustains the electrical and hydraulic plant is placed. All technical installations must be in place before the casting.
The vertical structures in cellular concrete can be made with the use of the IBS-08 cellular concrete plant and well as the Fluocem plant.
The most usable densities for making vertical structures in cellular concrete cast on site are:
DENSITY | CONCRETE | SAND | WATER | FOAM |
1000 kg/m3 | 350 kg | 590 kg | 140 litres | 490 litres |
1200 kg/m3 | 400 kg | 750 kg | 160 litres | 380 litres |
1400 kg/m3 | 400 kg | 900 kg | 168 litres | 310 litres |
1600 kg/m3 | 400 kg | 1100 kg | 170 litres | 240 litres |
