Cellular concrete is used in the erection of buildings for civil use, making houses which respond better to requirements on soundproofing and thermal insulation. Furthermore, cellular concrete is indicated for restoration, in particular for energy adaptations; it is also possible to lighten wooden floors and roofs through its use. Not to be forgotten is its use in industrial building, where resistance and safety of the materials used in erecting industrial sheds and production establishments is required. Neither should the speed of laying the material and the use of pre-fabricated panels in cellular concrete be overlooked.
There is also a growth in geotechnical applications of filling cavities and for road cavities.

Cellular concrete does not catch fire even if subjected to direct flames. It is classified as Euroclass A1.
Resistance to fire: EI 180 of 10 cm thickness (as per the certificate in our possession).

Isoltech proposes a special acrylic additive for cellular concrete, to be mixed with local sand and concrete, to produce a thin filmed binding agent for perfectly binding cellular concrete.

Plaster for use on cellular concrete must be made of concrete and local sand, mixed with acrylic additive ACRI 105, according to Isoltech’s indications.

The absorption of water is really very modest for average densities, on the higher specific weights it is nearly nothing, while on the lower densities, it may be considered as pervious.

No, Isoltech does not produce or sell cellular concrete blocks. Isoltech supplies its clients with the necessary technology for production of cellular concrete and the expertise to enable autonomous production. In addition to foaming agents, auxiliary additives and machinery, the company supplies training and support for initiating production on site.

Autoclaved cellular concrete is prepared in large energy-consuming industrial plant, while non-autoclaved cellular concrete is produced in small or medium sized plants with very low energy consumption, and is produced close to the user market (zero miles).

“Humid density” is defined as the weight of a cellular concrete mix in its fresh state before placing into service. Its value is expressed in kg/m3, and is the sum of the concrete and the water necessary for working and placing into service; the weight of the foam inserted is possibly inert.
