Isocem S/L is a next-generation foaming agent for cellular concrete, made from plant-based raw materials, making it extremely powerful and effective.

Isocem S/L is designed to deliver superior performance in the production of cellular concrete and has been specifically developed for various construction applications, including lightweight screeds, insulating screeds, and as an air-entraining additive for cement mixtures with lightweight aggregates such as polystyrene or vermiculite.

Physical Properties of Isocem S/L Based Cellular Concrete

The physical properties of cellular concrete obtained using the specific foaming agent Isocem S/L are influenced by the foam-to-cement ratios, which affect the densities obtained and, consequently, the final thermal and acoustic insulation properties.

The densities are:

– 300 Kg/m³ – 400 Kg/m³ – 500 Kg/m³ – 600 Kg/m³

Usage Recommendations for Isocem S/L Foaming Agent

The use of the water reducer Increment L (link) in the formulation is recommended, providing significant technical and economic benefits to cellular concrete, starting from 1 kg/m³ of Increment L.

The addition of Increment L significantly reduces the amount of water used in the mix, by up to 30-40%.

Lowering the water-cement ratio not only improves the compressive strength of the material but also accelerates the hardening and drying times of the cellular concrete.
