Isoltech has created and patented an environmentally low impact building technology capable of substituting much better known, but less effective, materials and furthermore guaranteeing heightened insulating properties. This technology, the flagship of Isoltech’s knowledge base, allows for the production of mineral foam with densities of between 100 and 200 kg/m3.
The greater insulating properties of these densities, of between λ= 0,045 – 0,065 W/mK, makes it possible to use this economic and ecological material as a valid alternative to the better-known petroleum based insulating materials such as Styrofoam, expanded or extruded polystyrene and other extremely energy consuming substances such as autoclaved silicates, significantly more expensive, or even expanded polyurethane, more insulating but with an extreme impact on eco-sustainability and cost.
MINERAL FOAM: PATENTED TECHNOLOGY
Low Density Technology makes the production of mineral foam economical, advantageous and completely recyclable. Given the simplicity of production through the use of manual or automatic plants, it is possible to employ “Low Density” for numerous uses making the return on investment in machinery much faster than might be imagined:
– Thermally graded sandwich panels for civil and industrial uses;
– Double sheeted framed panels with a facing, Gyproc Knauf type, as an insulating core;
– Infilling bricks, blocks, as an insulating contribution.
Low Density allows for making thermally graded sandwich panels, without the use of polystyrene. The excellent insulation properties render great financial savings and is an eco-sustainable choice.
Indeed, this is a low environmental impact construction technology based on a unique water repellent concrete mix, homogenous and 100% recyclable, which satisfies any Standard on the need to use recyclable materials.
MINERAL FOAM: A CHALLENGE ALREADY WON AT THE START!
In the applications of the Mineral Foam, the fluidity of the material is exploited to obtain a rapid and compact implementation which is easily workable.
The raw materials are stored in silos and automatically uplifted during the production phase and used at the destination site without handling, storage, uplifts, positioning and wastes, as happens with traditional insulating materials.
The mineral foam is a real innovation and is an important progress in the world of construction which is ever more attentive to innovation and to environmental preservation.
